Pro Athletes Organization (PAO)
Pro Athletes Organization (PAO) exists to work with professional athletes in an effort to raise funds to be used to support charitable causes. Services include targeted grant making efforts as well as utilizing a number of avenues to raise funds to be distributed to qualifying organizations in fulfillment of the organizations’ exempt purpose. In 2013, the organization held its first annual celebrity softball game to raise funds which ultimately benefited The Yellow Ribbon Fund, Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team, and Connected Warrior, all 501(c)(3) entities.
DeSean Jackson – star wide receiver and 3-Time NFL Pro Bowler – with PAO coordinates events through which professional athletes such as Jackson can utilize their celebrity to generate revenue to support qualified 501(c)(3) organizations. PAO awards grants based on each organization’s potential strength in accomplishing their exempt purposes.
Currently with the Washington Redskins, Jackson is a Los Angeles native and has been preparing for success on the field and in the spotlight his entire life. DeSean has taken the NFL by storm with his heart-stopping kick returns, and his inherent star quality and magnetism. From being a prodigy at the football powerhouse Long Beach Poly High School, to being the first player in history to be selected to the exclusive Pro Bowl at two different positions in the same year (return specialist and wide receiver), DeSean is making his career one for the record books both on and off the field.
